The club is located in Long Point Reserve on the Mornington Peninsula approximately 12km south of Rosebud. There are 4 DTL layouts, 2 Ball Trap, a Skeet ground, and the new permanent 5 Stand. During the year, outside of daylight savings times, the popular night 50 target simulated sporting event is held on the 4th Friday of the month.
The club is open for practice every Thursday afternoon from 3pm. You can buy a token for a round of skeet, trap, or five stand. Token prices are $12 for adults and $6 for juniors. Ammunition is available for sale by the box or slab. After practice has finished there is a sausage sizzle and the licensed bar is open with beer and spirits at bar prices. Both visiting and new shooters are always welcome.
We do a come and try for $45, this includes the hire of a club gun and a coach.
Clay Target Shooting is one of the safest sports in the world and juniors from the age of 12 can participate with the appropriate training, licenses and supervision.
Safety with firearms is of paramount importance and that is a primary objective of all shooters and clubs around Australia and newcomers are taught the correct procedures for handling firearms. The club also has suitably skilled coaches available to assist new shooters with the finer points of clay target shooting.
